Originally a coaching inn on the road to Oxford, the Red Lion Hotel has been offering hospitality to guests for over 600 years. Previous notable guests include Charles I and Queen Charlotte. The Red Lion Hotel is a combination of 15th, 16th and 17th century architecture and is furnished with antiques throughout. Privately owned by the Gill family, the hotel offers personal hospitality with friendly and attentive service.
Rooms in the hotel are individually furnished in an English country style, containing period furniture and antique prints and paintings. Many enjoy tranquil river views.
